Aperitif · Starter · Main · Dessert

The dinner that moves house with every course.

Aperitif at one home, the main at another, dessert at a third. Progressive Dinner builds the tables, works out the travel and reveals each address as the evening unfolds.

The idea

One meal, several homes.

With every course you change host and table neighbours. Everybody meets everybody, and nobody cooks the whole meal.

How it works

Four steps, zero spreadsheets.

  1. 1

    Create the evening

A name, a date, the courses. You get a 6-character code and a link to share.

  2. 2

    Guests sign up

With the code or the link, in the app or in the browser: name, address, means of transport. No account needed.

  3. 3

    The algorithm builds the tables

It spreads the hosts, keeps guests from meeting twice and limits travel, based on how each person gets around.

  4. 4

    Everyone follows their evening

On the night, each guest sees the current course, directions, and the next address revealed at the right moment.

For the organiser

You invite, the app solves the puzzle.

The organiser space is the same on the site and in the app: one account, your dinners everywhere.

Open the organiser space
  • Tables that really rotate

Pick the table size: the app tells you upfront whether someone will have to host twice or guests will meet again.

  • Real travel times

On foot, by bike, by public transport or by car: travel between homes is calculated, and trips over 30 minutes are flagged.

  • Surprise addresses

Places stay hidden and are revealed through the evening. Each host knows in advance that they are hosting, and for how many.

  • Couples stay together

A sign-up “for two” counts as two seats and is never split between tables.

  • Incompatibilities respected

Two people who should never share a table? Say so, and the schedule works around it.

  • Not everyone hosts

Tiny flat, building work: untick “Can host” and the guest is still invited everywhere.

  • One course all together

Aperitif in the park, dessert at the village hall: one course can bring everyone to the same place.

  • In 10 languages

Each guest sees their evening in their own language, in light or dark mode.

For guests

A guest? Nothing to install.

Open the link you received or type the code: signing up takes a minute. On the night, the same page guides you from one table to the next.

Frequently asked questions

How many people do we need?

A schedule can be calculated from 3 sign-ups. For tables to really rotate, plan for a dozen people or more.

Do guests need an account?

No. A guest signs up with the dinner code, with no email or password. Only the organiser has an account, to find their dinners again.

Do we have to download the app?

No: sign-up, following the evening and the organiser space all work in the browser. The mobile app is simply handier to keep at hand on the night.

Who sees my address?

The organiser, and the guests you host — when the place is revealed, not before. It is never public.

Can I take part without hosting?

Yes. The organiser sets who can host; everyone else is a guest at every course.

What if sign-ups change after the calculation?

The organiser space warns you and you recalculate the schedule in one click before publishing it.
